A well-conceived sampling of tenor-saxophonist Lester Young's Verve recordings of the 1950s, this long out-of-print LP contains "Just You, Just Me" with Oscar Peterson, "Lester Leaps In" with the Count Basie Orchestra in 1957, two numbers in a quintet with trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison, an explosive "Gigantic Blues" with trumpeter Roy Eldridge and trombonist Vic Dickenson, and a touching version of "They Can't Take That Away from Me" on which Prez takes a rare solo on clarinet.
