2015’s cerebral folk instaclassic Primrose Green put Ryley Walker on the map, splintering into top 5s in many different music camps. The psychedelicized parties were smitten with Walker’s off-kilter acoustic sorcery, the folkheads stroked their beards in amazement as Primrose took them on enchanting jazzy paths they’d never dared to tread, and the indie landscape as a whole welcomed this bright-eyed oddity/prodigy into their world, an overwhelmingly fresh breath of air in their sea of homogenous genres.
