For the first time, the album was never planned, but suddenly came about on its own. Mike Tramp himself calls it one of the most important in his career and his most personal to date.

Not only is it the first time ever that Mike Tramp has made an album in his native language, but several of the songs are about a childhood in Vesterbro with a single mother, cold water and petroleum, and in general, an upbringing where "nobody had anything, but everything they needed", as the album's Vesterbro hymn, Min by, says.
