This album? Simply fine. On vinyl it is easy to notice that Side A is better than the flipside but still both sides are recognisably good. The opening track "7 a.m." sounds surprisingly modern while maintaining a typical 22-Pistepirkko feel. "Heatseeker" even contains elements that remind me of the trip hop influences of the(ir) 1998–2001 era. "Summertime Motors" wears a warmly colourful psychedelic suit. "Yes / No" features background (or co-lead?) vocals by Maija Vilkkumaa who is a relatively famous singer in Finland but that has no greater meaning than just dropping a familiar name in the credits for those who need it. Instead, on "Madness of Speed" PK Keränen sounds like a woman singer himself almost like his fellow Finn Teemu Brunila who imitated Macy Gray on "Oh What a Thing" by The Crash back in 2003. Oh, those were the days. The Crash have been long gone but miraculously, 22-Pistepirkko is still here. Let's enjoy it, everything that was good about the past is still not lost.
