The Intellectuals was founded by Niels Maaetoft, with ex Warms Guns guitarist Lars Hybel, Brian Laurie from UK band Lew Lewis Reformer and drummer Rene Wulff from Danish C.V. Jørgensen, he was later replaced by Frank Thøgersen. Intellectuals played British Pub-rock in the best Dr. Feelgood spirit. They released two albums, the first one was called Half A-live, a half studio recording on A-side and B-side was a live recording. Their second album was called Health & Happiness, this album was more country influenced. Niels Maaetoft is still playing live and lars Hybel is trying to get back on the scene after a long period of drug problems. www.myspace.com/freshoillooserock
