Blues-punk legends The Gun Club formed in 1979 when singer Jeffrey Lee Pierce taught a young Kid Congo Powers to play guitar, injecting the Delta blues, rockabilly and '60s garage with their own amplified fury. Originally released in 1982, the Gun Club's revered second outing Miami served as the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 1981 debut Fire of Love. The band temporarily re-located to New York to record the highly anticipated 12-track effort, which was produced by Chris Stein of Blondie and released on his label Animal Records. Featuring such Gun Club classics as "The Fire of Love," "Devil In The Woods" and a stellar cover of Creedance Clearwater Revival's "Run Through The Jungle," plus backing vocals from Debbie Harry on a number of tracks, Miami only furthered the band's meteoric rise to glory!
