The great South African musician Abdullah Ibrahim (then going by his original name of Dollar Brand) performs a six-song suite dedicated to his main influences "Fats, Duke and the Monk," along with a couple of three-part originals: "The Aloe and the Wild Rose" and "Ancient Africa."
