"Soulside Journey" is somehow an acquired taste for most Darkthrone fans, mainly because this is not a blackmetal album like sophomore effort "A Blaze In The Northern Sky" which is globally hailed as a blackmetal masterpiece from the Second Wave and due to this "Soulside..." is ofter dismissed or underrated.
