Four years after its release, Robyn Hitchcock pulled Groovy Decay from circulation, replacing it with Groovy Decoy, an alternate version of the record assembled mainly from demos he recorded with Soft Boys bassist Matthew Seligman; the album included some versions that are identical to the Decay material, as well as a handful of new songs.
