Marilyn Manson - Mechanical Animals
Marilyn Manson - Mechanical Animals
NEW VINYL LP ON INTERSCOPE 2012.
2 X VINYL LTD.
Originally released in 1998 on Nothing/Interscope, Mechanical Animals is the third full-length from Marilyn Manson and follow-up to 1996's Antichrist Superstar which had transformed the band and specifically its frontman into a superstar. Despite the success of their first two ventures in industrial metal or maybe in spite of the credit Trent Reznor was being granted for that success, Manson took a page out of David Bowie's book with a foray into glam rock. In place of the abrasive industrial sound of its predecessors is a big and relatively clean rock record. The album's newfound accessibility led to a #1 debut which was the first Marilyn Manson offering to do so, spawning three successful singles in the process with "The Dope Show," "Rock Is Dead" and "I Don't Like Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Manson
