 A concept studio album released by German thrash metal gods, Sodom in October 2001, M-16 is one of the band's best albums to date! Based on the Vietnam War and named after the most-used weapon in that war, M-16 features some of the band's most talented, best-made and well-pleased performances, including the classic “Napalm in the Morning” with the 1979 Action/Drama block-buster movie Apocalypse Now intro to the song, with one of the soldiers saying “I love the smell of Napalm in the morning... It smells like victory!”, as well as the other gut-grinding tracks “I am the War”, “Minejumper”, “Genocide”, “M-16” and the slow-paced, but powerful and crunchy “Lead injection”.
