Originally issued on Apple Records in 1995, The Anthology 1 is a 60-song deep 3LP collection of Beatles rarities, outtakes and live performances recorded from 1958 up to 1964. It's the first volume in a trilogy of releases which also includes The Anthology 2 (1996) and The Anthology 3 (1996), and directly correlates to The Beatles Anthology documentary series.
